Chandigarh: A meeting was held today at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, with the representatives of all the registered political parties concerning the revision of electoral rolls.
Chairing the meeting, the Additional Chief Electoral Officer Manpreet Singh Chhatwal appealed to all the representatives of various political parties to appoint their workers as BLAs to ensure that nobody gets deprived of the right of being registered as a voter nor does anybody's vote get deleted wrongly and everybody's vote is made in accordance with the rules.
Divulging more, he said that during the revision of photo voter lists this time it would be made sure that everybody of the age of 18 years gets registered as a voter. He further said that apart from this, the BLAs would also ensure that a probable list of those voters is made who are to attain the age of 18 years on 1-1-2018 in order to make sure that in future, they are registered as voters without any delay.
During the meeting, apart from representatives of political parties, Deputy CEO Punjab Sukhdev Lal was also present.
