Congress must take disciplinary action against the ‘buffoons’, demands Bir Devinder Singh

PATIALA, AUGUST 17: Punjab Congress Committee President must take strict disciplinary action against the erring congress leaders of district Ferozepur for their inappropriate and erroneous conduct, demanded Bir Devinder Singh the former Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha.

In a strongly worded statement issued today, Bir Devinder alleged that the congress leaders have disgraced the solemn occasion of Independence Day by jumping illegitimately on the police gypsy while the Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu was inspecting the ceremonial Guard of Honour, after hoisting the National Flag on Independence Day at Ferozepur.

Bir Devinder further said that, While there are reports that an inspector of police has been placed under suspension and some Deputy Superintendents of police has been called to explain their conduct for the lapses, who tried to dissuade the congress leaders not to jump on the gypsy of the Chief Guest. But the improper conduct of the senior congress leaders, including one Congress MLA Satkar Kaur and Former Minister Inderjit Singh Zira should not go unnoticed by the Chief Minister and the PCC President.

He further said that, Congress today is 132 Years grand old Political Party, credited with achieving the freedom for India and thereafter Governing the Country for decades, that too very efficiently. Therefore the top leadership of the party should not be seen to approve or just overlook the public display of such utter nuisance.

The foolish act of the congressmen in question has brought shame to the value based culture of the grand old party. Therefore some tangible semblance of disapproving the scruffiness of the congressmen who acted as ‘buffoons’ in the full public view, must surface in the mainstream media, signalling the ‘No Nonsense’ message to the congressmen across the State in order to advise them to observe decency and decorum in the Public functions, said Bir Devinder.
