Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India would organize Kailash Manasarovar Yatra, a pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and Manasarovar Lake, this year from June to September. 26 batches are scheduled to go for this Yatra via Uttarakhand and Sikkim. Pilgrims interested in Yatra are advised to visit http://kmy.gov.in for registration and information.
According to a communiqué received in this regard Indian nationals aged 18-70 years as on January 1st, 2017 are eligible for this Yatra and group of 4 applicants can register together. Final selection of pilgrims would be held through computerized draw followed by medical tests.
It may be added here that 26 batches were scheduled to go for Kailash Manasarovar Yatra via two routes i.e. 24 days journey of each of 18 batches on the partly trekking route via Uttarkhand and 21 days journey of each of 8 batches on the motorable route via Sikkim.
