Haryana has witnessed wide-spread incidents of loot, arson, killings, rapes and destruction of public as well private properties and vehicles during the recent Jat reservation stir but political masters of the state still think that the atmosphere is conducive for organizing "Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit-2016”.
When the total focus of the government should be on bringing normalcy in the state and it should be working for rehabilitation of the families whose life has been shattered, it is going ahead with preparation of the Investors’ summit. However its being said that it would be scaled-down version and with investors’ meet on March 7-8 in Gurgaon, while "Parvasi Haryana Divas’’ stands cancelled.
A decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting presided over by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and attended among others by Finance and Industry Minister Capt Abhimanyu in Chandigarh last evening.
Capt Abhimanyu said the government would work extra time to make the summit a success as a lot of efforts and resources had gone into the planning of the summit. "In view of the extensive damage to property, the state government had taken upon making the summit a success as a challenge and the government was committed to providing a peaceful environment to the investors to invest in Haryana,” Capt Abhimanyu claimed.
