Salman Khan, who's hosted the show for six straight years, is reportedly on board for the upcoming season as well. Reportedly, the producers have agreed to hike his fees by 30 percent for season 10.
Salman, who was said to be paid around Rs 6-8 crore per episode for Bigg Boss 9, reportedly asked for a fee hike of 30 percent to continue as the show's host.
According to a report in Midday the producers have agreed to Salman's demand as they do not want to let go of the actor who is the star attraction of the show.
The daily quoted a source as saying, "Like every year there were speculations whether Salman will return as a host or not. However, the channel managed to convince him to be a part of the show yet again and have agreed to some of his conditions as well."
"One of Salman's conditions was that his fee be increased. He is one of the reasons the reality show gets a high TRP and the makers don't want to compromise on that. Therefore, they have agreed to give him the hike. He is already the highest paid TV show host," said another source.
Interestingly, in season 9 Salman Khan often joked about the producers paying him a meager amount to host the show.
Earlier it was reported that Salman did not want to continue with Bigg Boss as he is producing the Indian version of Swedish show, The Farm, in collaboration with his rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur.
Season 10 of Bigg Boss will see several commoners as participants along with the celebrities. Colors channel has launched a campaign to scout for the contestants wherein interested candidates have to send a 3-minute clip about themselves to the channel.
